One of the wedding venue locations of The Springs Events, it used to be named Pecan Springs, but now it is called Stonecreek and here is a wedding ceremony and reception I shot there. So on Labor Day 2013, I was helping a good friend who bakes cakes – Ann Neal of Kakes Xcetera – and met her for the purpose of taking pictures of some of her cakes to place on her web site. My purpose that day was to just take a few shots of her cakes spend about 30-45 minutes there and go home and veg out (it was Labor Day after all). Once I got there, one of the bridesmaids was joking with Ann about how she brought her own photographer (me) and could the bride “borrow” him. I laughed because I thought she was joking, but it seems that the photographer for that day did not show up and the wedding was about to start. Weddings are all about memories to me and words can’t express how I would have felt had I been in the bride’s place. I spoke to the bride and groom, Greg and Lacy, and offered to help and I’m glad I did because there were a lot of memories there that I was honored to capture.
The Wedding was held at the Pecan Springs Wedding Venue in Brookshire, Texas just west of Katy, Texas and it is a lovely venue and the outdoor ceremony was perfect! I love seeing couple in love and families that know how to celebrate and this was no exception!
yes, you are reading the label correctly, that is moonshine!
The necklace belonged to the Bride’s grandmother and she gave it to the bride that day as a gift (yes there were tears)
