I am Nathan Simmons Hamilton, the owner and primary photographer for In a Lifetime Photography. I am a Cypress wedding photographer, Cypress family photographer and portrait photographer (I shoot photos mainly in Cypress and Katy, but I am available for travel). So you want to know about me? I shoot people for a living! I love photography and taking part in making memories! The smiles, the joy, the tears, everything that turns that “snapshot” into a treasured memory. I’m also Dylan and Alicia’s dad, and being a father means everything to me. My children are my joy and give me focus. I am a Christian and my faith guides me as I serve others with the gift God has given me. I’m a nerd, cartoon watcher, music lover, and deep thinker (OK, not that deep). I love all things health and fitness (not a gym rat though) and a new Air Fryer lover (if you have some good recipes, please share!)
I got my start in photography in high school in the days of film and learned from my uncle and got a passion for creating images and seeing the way people respond when they see those images even years later when I am tagged in photos on social media because it is one of their favorite photos. That brings me joy.
I am a Native Houstonian and know the Houston Metro area well (so it helps me be a better Houston wedding photographer) and currently living in Cypress, Texas. I know the Cypress area well as a photographer and serve other areas as well. I believe in offering quality, excellent service, and a personality to fit any occasion. You deserve someone that will help make your special event the memory you expect it to be. My tagline is “your life, your memories, your way”. That comes from my belief in the importance of photography to my clients.
“Your life” – I have been fortunate to capture several life events of repeat clients and it really brings me joy when they trust those life events – engagement, wedding, maternity, birth, family photos, graduations, etc.
“Your memories” – Giving my clients quality photography that they can look back on years later
“Your way” – While I am the one with the experience, the images are yours and not my “artistic vision”. As a Houston wedding photographer, I want you, as my client to be comfortable during the photo session and once the images are delivered, I want you satisfied. There are a lot of wedding photographers that mask their lack of experience by using too much Photoshop on the images and you no longer look like “you”. It’s my job to make you look beautiful, without making you look fake.
I have been a professional Houston area photographer for over 15 years (which means that you can rest easy on your wedding day because you have someone that can take care of you) and I can honestly say that each one has been different. Yes, there is emotion, there is beauty, and there is fun, but the personalities of each couple make each wedding a very unique experience and I am honored to be a part of each one. In addition to being a wedding photographer, I am a lifestyle photographer, which means I am available for every special moment in your life.
