They say that your name should tell people about you. When parents used to name their children, they gave them names with meaning (now they name them after cars). So years ago, when I first started doing photography as a business (Photography has been a passion since high school), I was also doing graphic design, so I though, photography, plus graphics – PHOTOGRAPHICS! and the name was Ok at the time. After about 2 years, I stopped doing graphic design and focused solely on photography, but never changed the name. I always felt that I should have, but Photographics was good enough. In time, I looked at the types of photography I was doing and I realized that I wasn’t just taking pictures, but I was making memories.
This hit me one day when I was looking back at a series of photo shoots that I did with one family, the Carr Family. Over the years, I had done her bridal session:

then their maternity photography session (which was WAY too much fun!)
and their first family session!
not to mention, their sister’s College Senior photo session, and another sister’s family session. So I was honored to be a part of some very important family events. So it wasn’t just once in a lifetime, but I was a part of making memories in their lifetime!
So, the name Photographics had to go. I was able to fit my name to what I did – giving a family memories for a lifetime. Not just wedding photography, not just portraits, but being a part of every life event and building relationships and making memories. Using my passion and talents to make people happy brings me more joy than words can express and I look forward to offering more!
