Galveston Island is always a lovely spot for a wedding and shooting a vintage wedding on Galveston Island makes it even better! You know why I love my job? I get to shoot cool weddings like this! It was such an honor to be a part of this couple’s day and the wedding attire was beyond COOL!!
I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful vintage Galveston Island wedding at Menard Hall in Galveston, Texas. The couple were referred to me through a mutual friend on my Facebook page. If you’re not following me on Facebook, you can click here – My Facebook Page. They were in a bind because the photographer they hired was unable to shoot for them. With less than two weeks to go, they found me and I’m glad they did! I always love shooting Galveston island weddings, whether in one of the hotels or even in the intimate settings like this one
The Victorian Jewel
We shot a few preceremony shots at the Victorian Jewel, a lovely home in Galveston, Texas that was actually right down from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. The home fit the theme and look of the wedding:
The Menard House
After leaving the Victorian Jewel, we headed down to the venue, historic Menard House and Menard Hall and shot a few family pictures. The wedding ceremony was also at the Menard House in Galveston, Tx. The ceremony was close to sunset and made the gazebo and outdoor area beautiful!
After the ceremony outside at the gazebo at Menard House, the reception was in Menard hall
If you are taking a trip to Galveston, Texas, check out the Victorian Jewel and the Menard Houston. Either location would be ideal for an intimate wedding ceremony or a micro wedding.
