OK, so have you found a place to hold that beautiful ceremony and reception that you are planning? Are you looking around at several Houston wedding venues? Before you start taking tours, ask yourself a few questions to be better prepared when you meet with the representative of the different Houston wedding venues.
How many guests are you planning for?
Are you having the wedding ceremony and wedding reception in the same location? If not, see the next question….
Have you allowed for travel time between the ceremony and reception location for both you and your guests to get there?
Is the Houston area wedding venue all inclusive or do you supply your own vendors? Do they have a suggested list of vendors or CAN you hire your own?
What about security? Who provides security and what does it cover?
Are you serving alcohol? Do they provide bartenders or do you? Are they licensed to serve liquor?
If you bring an outside caterer, do they have an area for them to prepare their food before serving?
These are just a few questions for you to consider but here are a few venue set ups to give you some ideas. Whether you are planning for 30 or 300, you can still have a nice area and a good time! If you need suggestions on a Houston area wedding venue, you can talk to your wedding planner or if you need a photographer, I can make some suggestions for you as well.
This Houston area wedding venue is Sterling Banquet Hall, located on Sam Houston Parkway. It has a chapel for your ceremony and two separate ballrooms of different sizes for your reception

If you are flexible, instead of a Houston area wedding venue, you can look at Austin wedding venues or Galveston wedding venues. Here are a couple of suggestions:
This is Rabb House in Austin, Texas:

If you want more of a rustic look, The Springs Events has locations around the Metro Houston area:

The University of Houston Central Campus also has the Hilton and they do an amazing job with their main ballroom

Again, as you consider a venue, take a close look at your budget, but give yourself room for options. There are a lot of great wedding venues in the Houston Metro area so you have a lot to choose from! You can view more wedding venues on my gallery Nathan Hamilton Photography
