What are holiday mini photo sessions?
Holiday mini photo sessions (some call them holiday mini photo shoots) are brief and festive photography sessions typically offered by professional photographers during the holiday season. These sessions provide individuals and families with the opportunity to capture beautiful and themed photos for their holiday cards, gifts, and memories. Lasting around 15-30 minutes, these sessions are designed to be convenient and efficient, taking place in an outdoor setting or in the home with holiday decorations.
When is the best time to take holiday mini photo shoots?
The best time to take your yearly photos is in the fall between October and December. Depending on your photographer’s turn around time for photos you will have to schedule accordingly.
Now is the time to take advantage of the Holiday photos special and schedule a time while the calendar is open. Holiday mini photo shoots are now booking! One of the reasons I started in photography is to make memories. Time passes and having photos to look back on make them a treasure. The joy in seeing a family look at a photo and remember how they felt that day is special to me.
What to wear to holiday mini photo sessions
It’s your photoshoot so you can wear whatever feels comfortable and in keeping with your style. You may decide to all dress up in your Christmas best. Think glitzy party dresses, crisp smart shirts and well-cut blazers. Or you might opt for a more casual look, so T-shirts, jeans and woolly jumpers.
For the photo shoots done in the home, some like to wear the matching Christmas pajamas near the tree for a classic look. Some like the idea of the “ugly Christmas sweater” for everyone, but bear in mind, this will be a photo and a memory that you will look back on for years to come, so do you want to smile and laugh, or do you want to say, “what were we thinking?!”
What are the best locations for holiday mini photo shoots?
I do most of the photoshoots in Cypress, Texas and Katy, Texas. That does not limit you to just those areas. I travel and can suggest locations near you. So if you are in the Houston, Texas Metro area, including Harris County, Montgomery County, or Ft Bend County, I can travel to you and take the photos in your home or a location that you choose. Holiday mini photo sessions are the perfect time to updated Christmas card photos. Use them for social media profile and cover photos as well. Have the kids grown up and have families of their own? Take this opportunity to get images to print and frame for the home.
What do Holiday mini photo sessions cost?
Holiday mini photo shoots are $200 and includes:
- Up to 30 minutes of shooting time
- Up to six (6) immediate Family members
- 20 high resolution images with a print release
- One location of your choice (outdoors or in your home)
- 7-14 day turn around time for images (I will email a link to download images)
- More time is available if needed and
- You can add family members for an additional fee (contact me for details)
You can order prints online if you choose. Longer full photo shoots are available for an additional fee. Click the link below to select your date and time.
