I want to share my top 3 best wedding venues in Houston. As a wedding photographer that has had the opportunity to photograph wedding in many wedding venues, here are a few of my favorites. This is by far not a complete list and there will be other blog posts highlighting other wedding venues in Houston, but let’s start with these.
These affordable wedding venues in Houston, are not within the Houston city limits, but are in smaller towns surrounding the city. I list these as wedding venues in Houston because most people that know the area, know that Houston is a Metro area and include these smaller cities and are OK with travel.
As a bride, it might be to your advantage to consider a wedding venue in a smaller city to avoid traffic delays when your guest are from out of town for example. There are very nice wedding venues in Houston – The Bell Tower, Fire Station 3, and others, but for this article, lets look at these other 4.
Katy Wedding Venue – The Ark by Norris
The first on my list is The Ark by Norris. The Ark is located in Katy, Texas which is west of Houston but close enough to be considered one of the all-inclusive wedding venues in Houston Tx. The Ark by Norris has options for both an indoor and outdoor wedding ceremony and space for the wedding reception as well so you don’t have to worry about travel to different locations. Since there is space for an outside ceremony, The Ark could also be one of the outdoor wedding venues in Houston that you could use. There are dressing rooms for the bride and groom with plenty of space for the wedding parties. Catering is also available or you can hire your own caterer.

City Centre wedding venue – Red Oak Ballroom
The second of my best wedding venues in Houston actually is in Houston. The Red Oak Ballroom is owned by the same company that owns The Ark by Norris so you have a venue with stability and history. The Red Oak Ballroom is located in City Centre (old Town and Country area) off of Beltway 8 and I-10 with access to hotels for out of town guests but also with access to major freeways to make it easy to travel to. The Red Oak Ballroom can accommodate any size wedding from the intimate, micro wedding to the 300 guest affair!
Like the Ark by Norris, The Red Oak Ballroom can be set up for both the ceremony and reception in both locations to save on travel time. Intimate wedding venues in Houston – Imperial Luxe
Number 3 on my list of best wedding venues in Houston is Imperial Luxe. Imperial Luxe is an intimate, all inclusive wedding venue located in Tomball, Texas, just Northwest of Houston off of Hwy 249. If you are considering going to the Courthouse for your wedding or you have a small wedding guest list, consider Imperial Luxe as they are all inclusive for your needs and one of the better small wedding venues in Houston.
Inside the Imperial Luxe, there is a chapel, a reception area, and other scenic places for photos. You can use the chapel for just the ceremony and invite up to 20 guests or use the other areas of the venue for a light reception including cake cutting and wedding toast.
